Document formats - letters, x-rays, images etc.

The only instance where Mediref determines the format of an uploaded document is when the Mediref virtual printer is used, in which case the operating system's native printer language is converted into a PDF format. In all other cases (i.e. selecting files directly from your computer or drag and dropping them), Mediref will not make any alterations to the document at all.

While the virtual printer is usually the fastest and most convenient way to send documents, we do recommend that images be sent in their original format (i.e. JPEG, PNG, TIFF etc.) in order to better preserve quality.
