Setting up an extra password for non-Mediref recipients

One of Mediref's main features has been the ability to send out patient data to non-Mediref recipients or patients in a manner that is compliant with the Privacy Act.
Something that has been brought up on a couple of occasions, is the ability to set-up a custom access password that the recipient must input, on top of the security embedded within the notification link itself.
This has now been implemented. The workflow is described below:

1. Go to your Settings Page, and click on Security.

2. Activate the switch, and Input a custom Password.

3. That's it.
4. Every time you go to send correspondence. Mediref will automatically recognise if one of your recipients is not on Mediref, or a patient and assign them with the custom Password. You will also have the opportunity to remove the password or customise it, depending on your needs, for each correspondence. Image below:

Please note: you will need to relay this password to your recipients.

5. Your recipient(s) will now need to input this password in order to access the correspondence you send them.

6. Once you send correspondence, a record of this password will be available to you in your Sent Items, under the Actions dropdown Menu. This will let you inform your recipients of the password in case they forget.

That's it. Do not hesitate to contact the Mediref team if you have any enquiries.
